Who we are
Andre Issa is the founding lawyer of Vanguard Law, a boutique Ontario law firm focused on employment law and corporate-commercial civil litigation. The firm advises employees and business owners on practical legal problems where the stakes are personal, financial, and often urgent. Vanguard means the group that goes first, taking the initial risk and protecting those who follow. That idea shapes Andre’s advocacy: stepping in early, confronting problems directly, and helping clients move with clarity when the stakes are high.
Before launching Vanguard Law, Andre led the employment law department at a full-service firm, managing complex, high-stakes files. He earned First-Class Honours from the University of Liverpool, where his gig-economy research was shortlisted for the Liverpool Law Review, and he was a finalist in multiple debate competitions.
Andre pairs civility with resolve. He looks first for efficient, practical resolutions, but moves decisively when negotiation is no longer enough. Clients value his clear explanations and meticulous preparation - whether he’s reviewing severance packages, drafting demand letters, negotiating exits, advising on workplace obligations, or advancing claims in court.
Vanguard Law also offers estate planning for clients. Outside the office, you’ll find Andre in the gym, reading business books, belting indie-band vocals, or cheering for Argentina’s national soccer team. He also demystifies employment and business law on social media, delivering punchy, jargon-free videos that help people understand their rights and responsibilities.
